Click “Buy it now” or “Add to cart” and proceed to checkout.

Yes, a bit sister had her jewelry pics stolen and posted for sale in Arabia and in their url it says Etsy Static. We NEVER click on the scam website, we just copy the goggle url so we can read ‘s definitely her photos and her descriptions, but it also says has words Etsy static.
If you are on desktop, click on any listing, then click to open the photo in a new tab. That’s when you see “Etsystatic” in the URL, like this: i. (I broke the URL so it can post)Sounds like this is how the other site is using the photos.
My sister nor I are computer literate, but if you look at (my broken) url, the etsy static is not written like your example. So, this must not be legit, right?
Ah, it is from Google Images. The site doesn’t open when I click so I wouldn’t worry too much about this taking any traffic away. I am not seeing anything in Arabic or indicating this is from Saudi Arabia either; it is all English when I click. It may be a translated page from Etsy. (You can always report the link to Google if you are certain it isn’t legit, but I can’t confirm that at this time)It would help if I could see the search page, though.
This is what it is doing for Etsy, analysing site traffic and usage. personalized search, content, and recommendations. helping sellers understand their audience. showing relevant, targeted ads on and off Etsy. Yes its a basic part of Etsy for different things.
@CindyLouDoesStats I’m on the phone with her and she says she found her jewelry by typing “dba The Mourning Era” on google search to see what popped up. I did it too and I see her listings with several websites not named Thanks, Marie
My entire family each has had etsy shops here for quite a few years now. Today is the first we’ve heard of etsy static if it’s a direct link to stealing shop photos
