Think of hashtags as a way to make your posts searchable, almost as a form of SEO for your Twitter account.
According to data and best practices on how to use hashtags, tweets with at least one hashtag receive 12. 6% more engagement than those without them.
Tacking on a couple of hashtags to any given tweet is a quick way to increase the likelihood of new followers finding your account. Plus, doing so only takes a couple of seconds and there are plenty of hashtags to choose from.

How to Create and Manage Multiple Twitter Accounts | PCMag
Do you want to keep your business and personal lives separate on Twitter? Perhaps you want to get political, create a parody account, or try your hand at being an influencer. Instead of mixing business and pleasure, just create a second (or third) Twitter account and switch between can create as many Twitter accounts as you want, but you can only connect up to five accounts. However, most people should find two accounts—one personal and one professional—to be sufficient. The recommended dimensions for a profile photo on Twitter are 400-by-400 pixels.
You can then choose your interests, and Twitter will suggest accounts you might want to follow. Click the Follow button next to any names that interest you, or click the Follow button at the top of the screen to follow them all. At the next screen, you can skip notifications.
If you’re on your phone, you can sync Twitter with your contacts to find friends on the platform and select those you want to follow.
Twitter then places you at your timeline page. Your display name and username (your @ handle) are visible at the bottom of the left pane. You may want to change these monikers to something more suitable, though. To do so, click the More icon in the left page and select Settings and privacy.
In the Your Account section, click the entry for Account information and then click Username. You can now change it to something else. Your username must be 15 characters or less and contain only letters, numbers, and underscores with no spaces. As you fashion your username, Twitter alerts you if you’re using an unsupported character or if the name is already taken. When you create an acceptable name, Twitter will stop flagging it. Click Save.
To change your display name, navigate to your Twitter page ([your username]), click Edit Profile, and enter something new under Name. You can change your username and display name on the web or in the mobile a Second Twitter Account
Now, if you want to create a second account, the process is slightly different in the app versus on the web. Open the Twitter app and sign in with your existing account. Tap Create a new account. Twitter will take you through the account setup process and request the same information it does when creating your first account. After you’ve set up your second account, it’s time to figure out how to juggle both of your Twitter accounts. On the website, click your username in the bottom-left corner to view all your connected accounts. Click the one you want to view and you will change Twitter accounts.

If you decide you no longer want to juggle multiple Twitter accounts, you can log out of your extra account to make it disappear from the list. A more permanent solution would be to deactivate it entirely. Open the account you wish to remove and enter Settings and privacy > Account, then select Deactivate your account. Following accounts is an easy way to curate your Twitter feed and know what’s happening with the topics or people you’re interested in. To prevent spam and manipulation of follow relationships and to ensure site reliability, there are technical limits regarding how many Twitter accounts you are able to follow. These limits are based on the rate at which you are following new accounts, as well as how many followers you have. In addition, because follow relationships on Twitter aren’t mutual by nature, we’ve also put into place a few rules around follow behavior to promote authentic experiences.
We don’t limit the number of accounts you can follow overall, but there are some limits as to the pace at which you can do Twitter account is able to follow up to 400 accounts per day. Verified Twitter accounts are able to follow up to 1, 000 accounts per addition to the daily limits, there are follow ratios that go into effect once you’re following a certain number of accounts:Every Twitter account can follow up to 5, 000 accounts. Once you reach that number, you may need to wait until your account has more followers before you can follow additional accounts. This number is different for each account and is automatically calculated based on your unique ratio of followers to following.
Are there other rules that apply to follow behavior?
Yes. The Twitter Rules prohibit abusive following, and violation of these rules may result in the suspension of your account. Specifically, the rules prohibit:
“follow churn” – following and then unfollowing large numbers of accounts in an effort to inflate one’s own follower count;indiscriminate following – following and/or unfollowing a large number of unrelated accounts in a short time period, particularly by automated means;duplicating another account’s followers, particularly using automation; and using or promoting third-party services or apps that claim to add followers.
You may encounter a message that states, “You are unable to follow more people at this time. ” You’ll encounter this message for one of the following reasons:
You’ve reached the daily follow limit. You can follow more accounts after a day has ‘ve followed too many accounts too quickly. Try again in an hour or ’ve hit a follow ratio limit. You can try again once your account has more followers, or you can unfollow a few accounts to follow new account is locked or limited. We may lock an account if appears to be compromised or if it is in violation of the Twitter Rules or Terms of Service, including due to aggressive follow behavior.
