Ireland Proxy Server List – Irish Proxies – ProxyNova
Proxy Server List – this page provides and maintains the largest and the most up-to-date list
of working proxy servers that are available for public use. Our powerful software checks over a million proxy
servers daily, with most proxies tested at least once every 15 minutes, thus creating one of the most reliable
proxy lists on the Internet – all for free.
Any proxy server listed on this page can be used with a software application that supports the
use of proxies such as your web browser. The most popular uses of proxies include hiding your real IP address,
disguising your geographic location, and accessing blocked websites.
This proxy list is updated once every 60 seconds from the data stored in our gigabyte-sized
The list can be filtered down by a number of attributes such as the port number of a proxy, country of origin of
a proxy, and the level of anonymity of a proxy.
Note: If you do not know what any of these numbers mean, or how to use proxy servers in
general, scroll to the bottom of this page.
Proxy Anonymity Levels Explained
A more detailed explanation about the specifics can be found on our
proxy levels explained
page, but the basic behavior of each proxy level goes like this:
Transparent – target server knows your IP address
and it knows that you are connecting via a proxy server.
Anonymous – target server does not know your IP
address, but it knows that you’re using a proxy.
High anonymity – target server does not know your IP address, or
that the request is relayed through a proxy server.
How to use Proxy Servers?
Almost any application, such as your own web-browser, can be configured to route your connections through a
proxy server for reasons of anonimity or performance.
Configuring your browser to use a proxy server is quick and easy, and the instructions for doing that are
described in our articles section.
However, the recommended alternative to doing all those steps anytime you wish to use a different proxy, is to
use our homemade proxy switcher
that can simplify the whole process to just a few mouse clicks. Our Nova Proxy Switcher can be downloaded from
proxy software page.

Let’s face it, Ireland has plenty of things that make it worth visiting. However, if you can’t physically visit that beautiful green countryside, an Irish IP address will at least get you there virtually, so you can enjoy some Irish-only geo-restricted content, such as TG4 or RTE Player. For that, you’ll want to know how to get an Irish IP address.
Local content isn’t the only reason you’d want an Irish IP, though. Maybe you hail from the country that has some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes, and you need to check your bank account while you’re traveling abroad. Most banks won’t let you do that if you aren’t in Ireland, so an Irish IP is a great way to take care of it.

There are a couple of ways to get an IP in Ireland, with VPNs and proxies among the most common options. Proxies are generally not as secure (and not as effective) as a virtual private network (VPN), though. That being said, there’s a lot more than just one VPN out there, and deciding which of the best VPNs to get is easier said than done.

However, proxies are generally not secure and tend to be unreliable, which is why a VPN is our recommendation.
How to Get an Irish IP Address: Step by Step
The fastest (and most secure) option for getting an Irish IP is to use a VPN. Here is how you do it, step by step — we’ll use our favorite VPN, ExpressVPN, as an example. It’s at the top of our best VPN list, and thanks to its excellent speeds, it’s also the best VPN for streaming, as it is able to easily bypass geographical restrictions.
Download and Install a VPNDownloading ExpressVPN is easy — just head to the ExpressVPN website, download the right app for your platform or device, then install the VPN when the setup is downloaded. The install wizard that guides you through the installation process is an Irish ServerOnce you have installed ExpressVPN, launch the app. Find the location picker button with three dots to the right. Click the three dots, and then find “Ireland” using the search nnect to the VPN ServerWhen you click “Ireland” on the list, that sets it as your virtual location. All that’s left is to click the “on” button, wait for a few seconds, and you’ll be connected.
ExpressVPN’s intuitive UI lets you quickly find Ireland on the list of servers and get an Irish IP.

Pricing: $6. 67 per month on a yearly planProvider website:
Fastest overall VPNGreat for bypassing streaming geoblocksTrustedServer security
When it comes to the best VPN to get an IP in Ireland, ExpressVPN takes the cake. Its servers in Ireland support all of ExpressVPN’s protocols, and as you can see in our ExpressVPN review, it’s excellent for streaming services. To add to this, the VPN is full of useful features, such as in-app split tunneling and great overall compatibility with devices and platforms.
Pricing is far from cheap, but a yearly plan gives you three months free and cuts the price in half, so you’ll pay $99 rather than $194. If you find that ExpressVPN doesn’t do it for you, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee you can use.
Overall, when you factor in the excellent speeds and strong focus on security and privacy, ExpressVPN is the top choice for getting an Irish IP. It checks all the boxes, and a yearly subscription offers good value, too.

NordVPN’s map overview is a bit of a mixed bag in terms of usability, but it shows you exactly where you’re getting an IP from on the map.
More details about NordVPN:
Pricing: $3. 71 per month on a two-year planProvider website:
More than 50 servers in DublinDouble VPN functionalityAbility to choose a specific server
Inconsistent speeds across servers
Although it has servers in Dublin and a strong focus on security, NordVPN takes the second spot due to the inconsistent speeds across servers. We like the fact that although all servers appear to be in the same location in Ireland, you can still choose a specific one if you find that it gives you better results.
The double VPN functionality lets you add another VPN server to your connection, too, which makes things more secure. You can find out more in our NordVPN review.
Pricing is somewhat reasonable, provided you commit to a two-year plan, which breaks down to $3. 71 per month — compared to $11. 95 on the monthly plan. In case you don’t like it, the 30-day money-back guarantee has you covered.
The problematic past is a stain on NordVPN’s reputation, but we do have to give it to them. Even though the data breach wasn’t directly its fault — but rather a third-party data center’s — NordVPN still completely overhauled its security and infrastructure, which gives us peace of mind. Plus, with built-in encryption and a kill switch, your connection is secure.

CyberGhost’s extensive list of servers includes a couple of filters to help you quickly find suitable servers for your use case.
More details about CyberGhost:
Pricing: $2. 25 per month on a three-year planProvider website:
Very affordable pricing on a three-year planP2P-optimized servers in DublinExcellent money-back guarantee at 45 days
Inconsistent access to streaming services
If you’re trying to stick to an affordable solution, CyberGhost is the one you’re after. It’s still reliable, and is a great way to get an IP in Ireland, thanks to it’s Dublin-located servers. It’s worth noting that those are CyberGhost’s P2P-optimized servers, which makes them great for torrenting and other peer-to-peer transfers.
Arguably CyberGhost’s strongest suit is the pricing, with an affordable three-year plan that works out to only $2. 25 per month. To add to this, you get three free months, and CyberGhost offers a 45-day money-back guarantee, which is more than enough time to see whether or not it does the job for you.
Unfortunately, as you can see from our CyberGhost review, it doesn’t really excel when it comes to streaming services. You also can’t access devices on your local network while you’re using the VPN, which is why it comes in third. If these are things you’re willing to look past, though, you get excellent value.
CyberGhost Plans: Unlimited GB: 7:
Surfshark’s UI is rather simple, giving you useful information such as transferred data, your IP address, and whether or not the kill switch is enabled.
More details about Surfshark:
Pricing: $2. 49 per month on a two-year planProvider website:
Affordable pricing on longer plansUnlimited simultaneous connectionsBuilt-in CleanWeb ad blocker
Monthly subscription is overpriced
Surfshark offers an attractive package for users who need an IP address in Ireland. The unlimited simultaneous connections are great for protecting all of your devices, and the CleanWeb ad and tracker blocker is a nice addition, too. We also like the allowlist functionality, which lets specific websites and apps bypass the VPN entirely.
Pricing is a bit of a mixed bag. On a two-year plan, Surfshark is rather affordable at $2. 49 per month. The price is similar to CyberGhost, but Surfshark has an upper hand when it comes to streaming services. However, its speeds are middling, which puts it behind CyberGhost on this list.
Overall, Surfshark is a relatively new player in the industry, but it manages to hold its own against seasoned competitors rather well. You can find out more about it in our Surfshark review.

5. Private Internet Access
The Private Internet Access user interface has a great overview of all the useful information you might need for your connection.
More details about PIA:
Pricing: $2. 69 per month on a two-year planProvider website:
Built-in ad blockerSolid device & platform compatibilityHuge server network
Struggles with some streaming services
Private Internet Access gets you an extensive server network in 78 countries, which includes Irish servers, as well as an app for any device or platform you could think of. The MACE built-in ad blocker is excellent, and PIA has a great security track record, too. Speeds are solid right out of the box, and you can find out more about the VPN in our Private Internet Access review.
You also get excellent pricing — $2. 69 per month — provided you’re willing to commit to a two-year relationship with PIA. If for some reason you decide it’s not the best choice for you, the 30-day money-back guarantee has you covered.
Overall, PIA’s performance when it comes to getting an IP address in Ireland is rather solid. Unfortunately, the speeds when trying to access different servers were inconsistent at best, which is why it comes in last on our list.

How Can I Get a Free IP Address for Ireland?
Free VPNs are usually a big no-no: just check our list of the worst free VPNs to see how low some of them would stoop by selling your data or worse. That’s why we normally only suggest a few reliable free VPNs, like Windscribe, ProtonVPN or None of these free VPN options have servers in Ireland, but there is one free VPN that stands out for getting an Irish IP address.
Free VPNs with Irish Servers
TunnelBear is a notable exception when you’re looking into getting an IP address in Ireland. The service has a reputation for being one of the best free VPNs out there, as seen in our TunnelBear review.
It’s definitely worth noting that TunnelBear — like most free VPNs — comes with a few limitations on the free plan. To begin with, you only have 500MB of data per month. You can increase this to 1GB if you tweet about TunnelBear, but even 1GB isn’t a lot by today’s standards.
To add to this, its speeds and ability to access geoblocked websites were mediocre at best. It does have a strict no-logs policy and a kill switch, though.
If these limitations are something you’re willing to work with, by all means, go for TunnelBear. As an alternative, all of the best paid VPNs we reviewed come with a money-back guarantee. Use that to get your money back once you’re done using the service – 30 to 45 days should be plenty of time.
Should I Use a Free Irish Proxy Server?
The short answer? No, you shouldn’t. Proxy servers, both the free and paid ones, are not exactly secure, and to add to this, any basic IP tracing service can find your real IP address within seconds. There is no encryption, no kill switch, nothing to keep you safe while you’re browsing.
In addition to this, you have to trust that the proxy service won’t collect your data and sell it afterwards, which is a huge red flag compared to the strict no-logs policies most of the best VPNs have.
The Dangers of Using an Irish IP Address
There’s no issue with having an Irish IP address, but there are a few things you should know that will give you more reason to make sure you’re secure. Some countries value privacy, as you can read in our privacy laws guide. That said, others have invasive surveillance and legislation.
Ireland has laws that allow authorities to intercept your emails and other means of communication, which it says are “to combat crime and protect the state. ”
There is also evidence that Irish Defense Forces were talking to a company called Hacking Team, which sells spyware to authorities worldwide. The military denied buying their products, but that may not be true. You can read more about the country in our best VPN for Ireland guide.
When all is said and done, ExpressVPN is our top choice for getting an IP address in Ireland, thanks to a combination of excellent speed, security features and servers in Ireland.
If it’s a bit too pricey for you, though, would you prefer NordVPN’s double VPN functionality, or CyberGhost’s P2P-optimized servers? Or maybe it’s the affordability of Surfshark and PIA that makes you look past their downsides on the hunt for an Irish IP? Feel free to tell us what your favorite choice is in the comments, and of course, thank you for reading!
