Question about upvoting your own posts from different accounts.
Am I correct in my thinking that upvoting yourself from multiple throwaway accounts does not work unless you assign a separate IP to each account? The votes will tally and you will see them, however Reddit is not actually tallying these upvotes similar to upvoting/downvoting someone on their profile page, correct? Any sort of source would be greatly is not some attempt to gather information so I can game my karma higher or something, just looking for clarification due to my having a discussion about this subject with someone else on a separate sub at the moment.

the FAQ says only prohibited use for multiple accounts is …
This may be excessively pedantic, but the FAQ says: “Is it okay to create multiple accounts? Yes, you can create multiple/throwaway accounts as long as you do not do so to ghost vote your own submissions. “However, the user agreement at says that you’re not allowed to create multiple accounts “to evade punishment or avoid restrictions” (which I assume means among other things that if you’re banned from a subreddit you can’t create another account to get back in to that subreddit) we really want the FAQ to be accurate we should add that in. (For that matter, also says you’re not allowed to create multiple accounts to downvote other people’s submissions, which isn’t covered in the FAQ’s current wording. )p. s. while we’re there, the FAQ also says “subscribers have chosen to use the new reddit instead, which led to it becoming the new dominant reddit”both instances should say “subreddit”:
