Instagram is a great place to share photos with your friends and family. But if you find yourself the target of harassment or trolling, the blocking feature can come in handy. Instagram does not give users any sort of notification that they’ve been blocked or unblocked. When you block a user, you are prohibiting them from messaging or following you and seeing your posts or stories. To block someone, you’ll need to go to their profile page, tap or click the three dots to the right of their name, and select you ever change your mind, however, unblocking someone on Instagram is just as easy — and only takes a few minutes.
How to unblock someone on Instagram You can unblock someone on the Instagram app through Settings or the user’s profile. From Settings: 1. Open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android. 2. From the Instagram homepage, tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner. 3. Tap the icon of three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of your profile page.

4. At the top of the pop-up menu, select Settings, next to a gear-shaped icon.
Select “Settings” in the pop-up menu.
5. On the Settings page, tap Privacy, next to an icon of a lock.

6. In the Connections section, tap Blocked Accounts.

7. On the Blocked Accounts page, tap the blue Unblock button next to the user you want to unblock.
Next to the user you want to unblock, select “Unblock. ”
8. In the pop-up, select Unblock. This will allow the user to once again view your profile, follow your account, message you, and like your posts if your profile is public. If you want to follow someone you’ve recently unblocked, you’ll need to follow them again.
Select “Unblock” to complete the process.
From their profile: 1. Go to the user’s profile you want to unblock, either by searching for their account, scrolling through your followers list, or tapping the name of an account that appears on your timeline. 3. Tap the blue Unblock button at the top of their profile, underneath their name and bio.

How to unblock someone on Instagram – it’s actually pretty easy!
If people are giving you a hard time on Instagram, the block button might be your best friend. It’s an easy way to keep someone from seeing your profile, posts, and stories. Of course, if you change your mind down the road, you can always reverse your decision. Here are the steps you’ll need to know for how to unblock someone on Instagram.

Method 1: Search for the blocked profile
We’ll start with the search method, as it gives you more individual control over who you unblock. Start by opening your Instagram app, then follow these steps;
Head over to the Search tab and enter the name of the profile you want to unblock.
Tap on the user’s name when they pop up in the search results. This will open their profile.
Where you would typically see a Follow button, you will now see a button that says Unblock, tap on it.
Now tap Unblock when it appears. If you have second thoughts, you can also choose the Cancel option.
Voila, you’ve just unfollowed a user on Instagram.

Method 2: Use the Settings menu
While the first method makes it easy to track down and unblock any user on Instagram, this method lumps all of your blocks in one place. Just like before, you’ll have to start by opening the Instagram app. This technique will not work on your web browser, as the options are slightly follow these steps, and we’ll be on our way:
Open the Profile tab in the bottom right corner of the app.
Head to the top right corner and open the hamburger menu.
Go back to the bottom of the app and tap the Settings button.
In Settings, select the Privacy tab with the lock icon.
Now, you should see two subsections — Interactions and Connections. Head down to Connections.
Open the Blocked Accounts menu.
Find and select the user that you plan to unblock.
Tap the Unblock button, which is where Follow would generally be.
Confirm your decision with the Unblock button.
