How to Find and Change the IP Address on iPhone or iPad

On an iPhone or iPad, your IP address is listed on your Wi-Fi details page.

You can find and change the IP address of your iPhone or iPad in the Settings app.
In the Wi-Fi section of the Settings app, tap on the name of the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to in order to find your IP address.
You may want to change your IP address to help protect your privacy when browsing the web or to resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues.

IP, or internet protocol, is a string of numbers that identifies your iPhone, iPad, or whatever device you’re using to browse the internet. You probably don’t need to worry about your
IP address
too often, but if you ever need to change it to protect your privacy, help resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues, or access content that’s only available in other countries, it can be done in just a few steps.
How to find IP address on your iPhone or iPad1. Open the Settings app, and tap Wi-Fi toward the top of the page.
You can find information on your IP address in the Settings app.

2. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to or the “i” icon.
Tap the “i” icon or the name of your Wi-Fi network to find your IP.
3. On the next page, you’ll see your IP address listed in the IPV4 Address section.

How to change IP address on your iPhone or iPadChanging your IP address takes just a few minutes, and doing so can help protect your privacy or resolve computer connectivity issues. Request a new automatic IP address If you have a problem connecting to the internet, you can send a request to your router to refresh your iPhone’s IP address. If you don’t need to enter a specific static IP address, this might be all you need. 1. Open the Settings app. 2. Tap Wi-Fi. 3. Find the Wi-Fi network you’re currently connected to and tap the “i” icon at the far right of the screen. 4. Tap Renew Lease, and then in the pop-up window, tap Renew Lease again.
Tap “Renew Lease” twice to have a new IP address automatically assigned to your device.
Manually enter a new static IP address 1. Find the Wi-Fi network you’re currently connected to and tap the “i” icon at the far right of the screen. 4. Tap Configure IP.
Under IPV4 Address, select “Configure IP. ”
5. On the Configure IPV4 page, tap Manual and then enter the IP address details. When you’re done, tap Save to implement the changes to your IP address.
If there’s a specific IP address you want, type in that information on this screen.

How do I check for static network settings on my devices?

Static network settings set on a device from a previous connection will interfere with the FlashRouter’s network. Typically the FlashRouter’s network performs best when connected devices are set to automatically use the FlashRouter’s IP Address and DNS.
Make sure you are connected to the FlashRouter’s network via ethernet or WiFi. Keep in mind these instructions may vary based on your current software version.
Check for Static IP Address in Windows
1. Open the Window search box, and search “Network Status”
2. Select “Change adapter optons”
3. Right click on the WiFi and/or ethernet adapter and select Properties.
4. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
5. Delete the values entered for IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, Preferred DNS server, and Alternate DNS server.
6. Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
7. Click OK.
Check for Static IP Address in Apple / Mac
1. Open System Preferences, and select Network.
2. Select the adapter that is connected via ethernet or wireless. This will vary based on your current connection.
3. Select Advanced.
4. Select the TCP/IP tab.
5. Set Configure IPv4 to Automatically.
6. Select the DNS field and highlight any DNS servers you see there. If they can be removed you should click the minus symbol below.
8. Click Apply.
Check for Static IP Address in iOS
1. Open Settings
2. Select WiFi, and select the blue icon next to your current connection.
3. Make sure Configure IP is set to Automatically.
Check for Static IP Address in Android
1. From the top of the screen, swipe down to display settings.
2. Select WiFi.
3. Select your current network.
4. Select Advanced.
5. Make sure that IP settings is set to DHCP.
