VPS is nothing but an operation system(Windows or Linux) that is hosted on a servers that is always on.
Running an rsps on a Windows vps is just like running it on your computer but in the vps you need to port forward the port you are using, and put the vps ip in your client in the place of the localhost ip(127. 0. 1).
and that’s it.

So the local host up not the server ip?

Hooking up your “rsps” to vps, I’m assuming you’re talking about your client, mainly how to get it to connect to the server running on your vps, just place your vps ip in the client and it will work fine
OT: Don’t bother your time with no-ip, I’m not sure why people do, if someone want’s your ip, they’ll get it.

So what part of the ip do I change in the Server ip to my VPS ip? Also after that can I go to rune server top list and add mine and it asks for like name of the server port server ip blah blah. So I put that and they click on it and they can automatically play it? Obviously when my run is running online.
Also you say client, do you mean file?

Theirs a local ip and server ip and I think a a host ip in the file client Java. All three with 127. 1 or 0. 0 I know those are numbers routing back to my self offline. Should I just change all three of those to the VPS ip? 02-25-2015, 06:16 PM If the client connects with the source in your computer, just change the 127. 1 That should work Hosting RSPS on vps - Help - RuneLocus

Thank you for your answer. This works like a charm here’s the output:
[Launcher] Running Server…

But the second question is giving me headache.
Do you know how to set the ip to connect to the server that is not running on my localhost? I can’t seem to find the client/lib/ file…
*EDIT*
I’ve changed to this.
public static String IP = “12. 345. 67. 890”; //I’ve used my ip here
public static boolean LOBBY_ENABLED = false;
public static boolean DISABLE_XTEA_CRASH = true;
public static boolean DISABLE_USELESS_PACKETS = true;
public static boolean DISABLE_RSA = false;
public static final int REVISION = 718;
public static final int LOBBY_PORT = 43594;
public static String LOBBY_IP = “12. 890”; //I’ve used my ip here as well
public static int SUB_REVISION = 5;
public static Loader instance;
public static int[] outSizes = new int[256];
public static boolean localHost;
*EDIT2*
The above change to the file didn’t work. It is still loading updates which the client from another computer simply can’t find, since the cache folder is not specified.
Also where do I have to specify the SQL database user, password and database table? Since I think the client crashes because it cannot write in any database.
Again I apologize for being bad at setting the RSPS up.
